Delete your SWIB account

How to request deletion of your getSWIB.com account and personal data.

MasonView LLC, doing business as SWIB ("SWIB") lets you delete your account and associated personal data. You can use the in-app request below or email us — both paths are free and do not require contacting Google Play support.

Option 1 — In the SWIB app or website (signed in)

  1. Open getSWIB.com/signin and sign in with your email or phone (one-time code or magic link).
  2. Go to Profile (or open getSWIB.com/profile).
  3. Scroll to the Account section and tap Request account deletion.
  4. We confirm by email within 30 days and delete your account data as described below.

Option 2 — By email (no sign-in required)

Email hello@getSWIB.com from the address or phone tied to your SWIB account. Include:

  • Subject line: SWIB account deletion request
  • The email address and/or phone number on your account
  • A short note that you want your SWIB account and personal data deleted

We respond within 30 days and complete deletion unless we must retain specific records for legal, tax, or fraud prevention reasons (see below).

What we delete

When your deletion request is processed, we delete or anonymize:

  • Your account profile (name, email, phone, avatar)
  • Host profile and public @handle (if you created one)
  • Events you created (titles, descriptions, images, settings)
  • RSVP and check-in records tied to your identity
  • SMS and email reminder opt-ins for your contact details
  • Stored session and authentication tokens for your account

What we may keep

  • Payment records — Stripe transaction IDs, amounts, and tax-related records required for accounting and chargebacks (we do not store full card numbers).
  • Legal and security logs — minimal server logs retained for abuse prevention and compliance, typically up to 90 days, then rotated.
  • Aggregated analytics — de-identified counts that cannot be linked back to you.

Delete some data without deleting your account

You do not need to delete your whole account to update or remove specific information:

  • Edit your name, photo, or reminder preferences on Profile.
  • Reply STOP to any SWIB text to cancel SMS reminders for that number.
  • Email hello@getSWIB.com to request correction or deletion of specific data.
  • On Profile, use Download my data to export a copy of your information.
